A Little Bit About Me

In 2017, after 10 years of being a chef I took a leap of faith and ventured down the path of self employment opening Cakes by Nikki Sloan. While caring for my young daughter I decided to further my knowledge on cake decorating and studied new baking & decorating techniques I hadn’t previously done during my time as a chef.

Since then I have made over 300 cakes for birthdays, anniversaries, weddings & everything else in-between.

I love nothing more than when a client brings their cake idea to me and allows me to bring their vision to life. If you’d like to see examples of my cakes please check out the gallery.

Now that my son Leon is in Primary 5 and my daughter Alex attends nursery I’m enjoying having a little more time to get creative without the distraction of the kids!
